Today, our bloggers share their
Gift Picks for Stocking Stuffers
Rebecca recommends:
* Mini lotions from Avon at 99 cents each
* Bourbon fudge with walnuts or pecans from the Monks of Gethsemani Abbey
* Sampler pack of Mystic Monk Coffees
* Travel bottle toiletries set from TravelSmith
* For Christmas decorating: I’m not much for cutesie-poo, but I do find these Avon sets adorable, especially the elf set.
* For homemade giving: King Arthur Flour has a variety of bake-able paper pans for sharing your Christmas baking: star-shaped, mini-rounds for panettone or pound cake, tree-shaped, and loaf.
Lisa recommends:
* My favorite stocking stuffers this year are the lovely bracelets from Catholic jewelry designers On This Day Designs. Every bracelet is lovingly crafted by on of the six sisters, two sister in laws and 46 children who make up this company.
Rachel recommends:
* For something unique and fun,m check out this Albert Einstein action figure.
* Balloon Racers are always a hit.
* Runners especially love a pair of Thorlo socks.
* Mini Lego sets are a sure bet for boys.
Danielle recommends:
* I love the beautiful and yet unusual small gift options at St. Nicholas Center: Saint Nicholas pins, stickers, and scrap pictures
* Make a pro-life statement and support a worthy cause when you give Precious Feet pins and jewelry from Heritage House.
* Have you looked at the gourmet candy options at Amazon? If you buy it by the case, it’s rather inexpensive and you’ll have lots of yummy stocking stuffers and small gifts at the ready. Last year, I bought Dan some Ferrero Raffaello almond-coconut candies and he LOVED them.
* For stocking stuffers your kids will adore, search eBay for “foreign coin lot.” You’ll find plenty of auctions where you can buy foreign coins by the pound for $10-$20. Nearly worthless to coin collectors, these collections are priceless to kids. I put some in my kids’ stockings every year and they spend hours studying them and trading them.
* Catholic to the Max has a gorgeous selection of magnets featuring Catholic art for about $5 each. Or you can buy in bulk at a discount.
* Discount Catholic Store has a beautiful collection of stained glass “stickers” for $3 each. These cling to your windows and add a touch of beauty and inspiration to any room. Last year, I gave the boys a St. Michael for their room, the girls a St. Therese for their room, and I put an Our Lady of Guadalupe in the kitchen. Very pretty!
(This list is cross-posted on our Resources page. I’ll add other recommendations there as I post them, so eventually all of our picks will be in one easy spot for your reference.)
