On this week’s episode of the Faith & Family Live Cast (click here to listen or click on the player above) Arwen, Rebecca and I do a “progress check” on the 40 Bags in 40 Days project and I admit to being a slow starter! We discuss remembering why we purge and organize during Lent - more than just “spring cleaning” this is meant to be a spiritual exercise that draws us closer to Christ and one another during this Lenten season. Are you doing the challenge this year, and if so how is it going for you?
Our Faith & Family Feature Product this week is our new Daily Lenten Texts—You can sign up to receive daily Lenten inspiration from Danielle Bean and Elizabeth Foss’s new book Small Steps for Catholic Moms and Faith & Family by submitting your cell phone number in the widget in the left sidebar (on the homepage). You can also subscribe by texting FFLIVE to 41411. This service is free, but standard texting rates apply. You can unsubscribe any time by texting STOP to 41411.
In our final segment, we look at how to cope with those last few hours of the day when energy levels are running low and you’re home with kids, waiting for Dad to come home from work and fighting fatigue. What practical things do you do around your home to keep the kids busy and keep mom sane? How do you make your spouse’s arrival home from work a pleasant welcome?
We LOVE sharing your feedback! You can call and send us a message on our new listener feedback line at 1-413- FAITH-55 (or 1-413-324-8455).
