A Song for Saturday

In my ongoing mission to help spread the word about the great work being done by Catholic musicians, I thought I’d share one of my favorite songs with you today. The song is “Radiance”, the title track from the latest CD by Sarah Bauer.
From the very first time I heard this song, I absolutely loved it. It’s representative of Sarah’s upbeat, infectious style of music - when you listen to it you can’t help but want to dance and sing along. But more deeply, this song touched me for its wonderful reminder that each of us uniquely called to share the gifts God has given us for His greater glory.
We each do that in our own ways - my path is different than yours, but no less special or wonderful in the eyes of a God who loves us each so greatly.
During the making of the Radiance CD, Sarah Bauer was busily praying about and discerning her own vocation. During this process, she created a wonderful video series that can be viewed at her website, where she examines four different vocational paths. It’s been a big year for Sarah, who along with the release of this CD recently married her best friend and co-writer, Christopher Sansone.
I hope you’ll take a little Saturday retreat with Sarah and I and that you’ll take a few moments to enjoy Radiance while you ponder your own unique call to Shine!
