Abortion Is Wrong, You Say?

I came across this great post today by LifeTeen’s Mark Hart.
So often, our words fail us in the face of the evil of abortion. Not because we’re cowards in speaking out. But because, as human beings, we simply do not have the words to wrap around this atrocity to say enough. We do not have the words to express what our hearts are screaming.
So we turn to God. Every time. We turn to him in prayer for the babies. We turn to him in prayer for the moms. We turn to him in prayer for the dads. We turn to him in prayer for the siblings, for the families, for the workers, for the legislators.
And as for the words, here we see that, while we may not have them, God does. God’s own Word says it all — and always has. Some familiar verses from the article:
God knows everything about us, down to the most intimate, innumerable details.
“Even all the hairs of your head are counted.” — Matthew 10:30God made us, we are His, not our own.
“Thus says the LORD who made you, your help, who formed you from the womb.” — Isaiah 44:2God creates and forms every child with a vocation, a “plan.”
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.” — Jeremiah 1:5
I love having these passages (and more) all in one place. They are the words that suffice. The words from our Lord that say, “You always have been, are, and always will be MINE.” So next time you’re looking for the words in this battle, turn to — and be led by — THE Word. Our Heavenly Father figured this out a long time ago.
