I recommend They Loved to Laugh/Kathryn Worth (I love all four of her books), The Sherwood Ring and The Perilous Gard/Elizabeth Marie Pope, Dairy Queen/Murdock, Another Spring/Eyre (Lady Jane Grey), and second the suggestion of Beany Malone and Betsy-Tacy. The author of Sorority Girl which someone mentioned above is Anne Emery.
Any Decent Books for Teen Girls?

Yesterday, my 15-year-old daughter Kateri announced to me that she had “read out” our local library. Anything more she chooses to read, she explained, will have to come from inter-library loan.
I believe her—this happens to be the second local library she has read out. She really enjoys reading and our libraries are smallish.
Inter-library loan is do-able, but will require more planning ahead than browsing the shelves ever did.
So I am hoping some of you can help point us in the right direction. What books do your teen girls enjoy? Or what books did you enjoy as a teenager yourself?
To give you a starting point, I can tell you that Kateri has read and thoroughly loved all of Anne of Green Gables, Eragon, Regina Doman’s fairy tales, Jane Austen, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter. I’ve said no to the Twilight series and Traveling Pants.
She’s reading quite a bit of classic historical fiction for school these days, but is longing for some new “down time” titles that she can enjoy in her free time. Do you have any great books to recommend?
