At Last, Real Parental Controls

Yesterday, I received an email from Senator Rick Santorum.
I call him the Ricker, he calls me Dani ... Okay, not really. It was a form email.
But his message is an intriguing one. He shared about a new project he has been working on since leaving the senate: MPower Media, a breakthrough technology that allows parents to control internet and television programming—removing objectionable material, but keeping what they want.
You can see a brief demonstration about MPower Media in the video above. And here’s what Senator Santorum has to say:
After I left the Senate, I joined Mpower Media, an independent company founded by Steve McEveety (producer of The Passion of the Christ) and Ken Ferguson (former Chief Operating Officer for National Geographic Television). Mpower’s unique vision is to give parents the control over TV and Internet content according to their own standards, so that families can enjoy popular shows—without the offensive scenes or commercials.
Imagine. No more erectile dysfunction commercials during football games. No more surprise sex scenes or graphic violence. No more offensive scenes or websites. Children can watch the popular shows they want, and parents get peace of mind, confident that their children are protectedeven when they are not there.
I like the sound of that. Read all about it.
