Awake from Dawn until Dusk

Can we talk about kids and sleep again?
I hope that if God blesses us with more children, I’ll be able to chill about the whole sleep thing. I’d like to develop the ability to just sort of toss the kids in the bedroom and go on my way without fretting about it. But I am not there now.
The current source of my sleep-related preoccupation is toddler naps.
Our daughter is two years and nine months old. She takes one nap in the afternoon, a predictable hour-and-a-half. It rarely stretches longer than that, and even more rarely does it fail to happen. Camilla’s erratic sleep being what it is, we try our best to keep her sleep routines in place, and we have always valued that nap.
But recently Camilla’s been showing signs that she might be ready to give up the nap. She’s missed it a couple times the past week, and on those days she not only made it to bedtime without melting down, but also went to sleep much more easily than usual. On days when she gets a nap, even with normal bedtime routine in place, she hasn’t been actually falling asleep much before 10:30 or 11:00pm.
Here’s what I’m curious about: at what ages did your children stop taking naps? I know every child is unique and there will be many answers to this question, but I’d like to get some data points to give me a better idea what we’re dealing with here.
Also, any tips on handling the transition to naplessness without going crazy?
