Bella Bands and Babies

Hello ladies! I’ve missed y’all!
Danielle was kind enough to offer me a bit of time off as I adjusted to some new circumstances in my life. Well, just one new circumstance, actually ...
A beautiful, tiny new circumstance who should be making his or her arrival late this coming summer.
We are all overjoyed, but this Mama’s been suffering from that yucky 1st trimester tummy that I know most of you are very familiar with. I’m afraid that I’m not quite as much of a rock star as our own Rachel Balducci who managed to blog her way straight through her own 1st trimester nausea and fatigue. I’m in awe, Rachel! I do believe you need this shirt.
Now that the 1st trimester is mercifully drawing to a close I find myself in that perplexing stage of pregnancy when my pre-pregnancy clothes are becoming uncomfortably tight but my maternity clothes are still too big. You know that one where people aren’t sure whether you’re expecting or just recovering from Christmas? Yup. That’s me. What’s a girl to do?
Invest in a Bella Band, apparently! They are truly amazing. Just slip one over your too snug pre-pregnancy skirts and pants and no one will ever suspect that you’re (gasp!) unbuttoned under there. You can also slip the band over your maternity wardrobe to snug it up a bit.
I didn’t own a Bella Band during my last pregnancies but the creators promise that the Bella Band comes in quite handy “in late pregnancy as an extra-hold accessory for under-the-belly styles that fall down around the hips when the belly pushes them down, and after pregnancy when maternity becomes big and pre-pregnancy is bit snug.”
I really can’t recommend the Bella Band highly enough. It’s a bit pricey but well worth the investment, in my humble opinion. I imagine you might even be able to whip one up at home for next to nothing if you happen to be of the crafty persuasion.
I hope you all have a very lovely weekend! I’d love to hear any maternity fashion tips and tricks you might have up your sleeve! Take care, girls!
