Truthfully - though they are all great titles… I don’t see a winner yet? How about you?
Please select one of the titles - and lets see what happens.
My computer is still not fixed - who knows how long at this point. Is God trying to tell me something?
All last week I couldn’t even get on the internet. Hmmmmm?
This week I can get on the internet with this little notebook but our community has been invited to share retreat time with other Franciscan women in our area with Fr. Joe Chinnici, ofm. - so computer time has been zeroed out again.
So I ask you…. even as dull witted as I can be… is God is trying to tell me something?
Will keep you posted.

My title vote is for I have called you, You are mine
Isn’t #8 & 10 the same??
I would combine numbers one and three into: 101 Stories of Coming Home: Remarkable Journeys of Faith
You are right, Sister Pat. It is a tough choice. How about combining #3 and #1: “Coming Home: 101 Stories of Faith Renewed.”
Perhaps God is trying to tell you to stay off the computer and get some sleep!
Love and Blessings,
June St. James-Pfouts
As I think of my journeys sampling the excitments of the other faiths, I was always surprised that I could find “it” in the Catholic faith. Not as loud. Just always enduringly quietly present.
I think I would call the book.“There’s no place like home”
Smiles!
my kids are grown. 4 boys 29-23 You yell fie too many times no one listens. face to face talking and have them say what you told them to make sure they heard what you said at least gets communication working. It took a long time for me to realize that when they heard “go study” they understood “play by yourself”.
My favorite title is:
“Catholic; Why They Left the Faith, Why They Returned”
because it most clearly states what is in the book.
I agree, the best title isn’t in yet. The titles are too long,
and maybe shouldn’t have the word Catholic in it. I like something short like, “Finding Home Again.”
Do you have a target audience? I have been in jail ministry for
eleven years. We always get a mixed group of people who come
to our Bible study; some are Catholic and many have left the faith for other denominations. My experience is that detention facilities are anti-Catholic. My aim is to lead them back to the
Faith of their fathers. “Faith of Our Fathers.”
I vote for #2 - Journeys of Faith
( the one listed has an apostrophe - Journey’s) will the meaning be different? I’m not sure which is correct grammatically - a job of the editor perhaps.
I know some authors who changed the title of the book after the contents have been edited and just before it was finally printed as per suggestion of the editor/publisher..so I pray that the title won’t delay much of the creative work for the contents at this point. Sometimes the spark of inspiration comes immediately before the book sees it final print.
About combining the title with words Coming Home or Homecoming- I have read a book with similar title which is about preparation for death so personally it may not be your purpose for writing the book you have in mind.
I would keep it simple and also like the titles of the previous books.
My suggestion - and a new one ....
101 Stories of Faith
My vote is for #1—doesn’t that keep it in line with your other titles?
And, Sister, I think either God is trying to tell you something (show you something offline, perhaps?) or the devil is trying to make things difficult…I’ll pray for you. Perhaps the title is something to be discerned in your community?
I can’t say any of them hit me as good titles. Only two even mention the fact that the book is about CATHOLIC faith journeys. Of these two, number 4 MIGHT be the better, but it doesn’t really give a good feel for the focus of the book. You might want to start fresh.
My vote in round 2:
3. Coming Home: Remarkable Journeys of Faith
The 101 stories (or other #) needs to be in the title. But the title listed doesn’t quite hit it. Maybe a combination like 101 stories of journeys home ( or something to that effect).
No matter how far or how long we run we know deep inside that God has said #6 ” I Have Called You; You Are MIne ” and we know that we must need to return to him.
My vote is for #6 ” I Have Called You; You Are MIne “
Thank you Sister for allowing us to help pick out the title for this wonderful book.
Number 3 is my vote…..Coming Home - Remarkable Journeys of Faith
Just an aside…...I find it very annoying when I click on the comment section in your column and first it goes to A. Weber communciations page…when I close and begin again it goes directly to where you are sending me. That A. Weber ad drives me crazy!!!!
