It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).
If you don’t have a blog, please share your Small Successes in the comments.
To get us started, here are my Small Successes for this week:
1. I survived my husband’s recent absence with minimal whining. Actually the girls and I had some really fun girlie bonding times. Anne of Green Gables, anyone?
2. I completely cleaned out under the bed in my bedroom. I shouldn’t get too much credit for this one, though. I think the dust bunnies under there were organizing and planning a coup of some sort. I did it mostly out of fear.
3. I have a dryer that works! I have a dryer that works! I have a dryer that works! So that’s not exactly an accomplishment for me, but this week it sure feels like one.
Now it’s your turn. Tell me all about your Small Successes this week!

Well, Danielle, I think having a dryer will be an accomplishment when you have piles of soft and not-hung-on-the-line underthings…
Good Morning!
1. I sorted and filed a huge pile of paperwork that has been there for months.
2. I got the laundry and dishes caught up again! I could actually see the sink!!
3. Finally cleaned the 2 bathrooms that were sadly neglected for so long!
Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms!!
1- I mopped the floors even though rain was forecast (big for me as I would usually just say why bother with rain on the way).
2- Finally had baseline mammogram done.
3- Already purchased a gift for a wedding next weekend (not wrapped, but did buy it).
1. Asked my husband for help when I needed it.
2. Called an electrician to fix some things around the house that were more than my husband or I could handle (again I asked ofr help when needed)
3. I began formulation of my own Mother’s Rule (see Book by same name). Excited about good things to come from this, I think!
1. I cleared the entire kitchen table - not even the small pile of papers that sits on the end where noone is sitting anyway.
2. Helped make food for my niece’s First Communion reception and did it so efficiently that I even had time to make 2 extra appetizers.
3. Tried a new recipe. Littlest baby just turned 6 months, so maybe I am getting some of the old me back.
1. Cleaned out my kitchen cupboards (well most of them).
2. For each appointment this week we have been on time if not early, despite having multiple appointments back to back 30 minutes travel apart. And I kept my cool.
3. I have purchased a good part of my bedding plants (early for us - it’s still pretty cool in Canada).
