Breakfast For Dinner?

Tomorrow evening my husband has to work and will not be home for dinner. My three-year-old is thrilled, because this means waffles! For dinner!
Camilla loves waffles, and I love waffles, and my sister who lives with us loves waffles. They’re light, slightly crisp, buttery… with a topping of syrup and a side of bacon or sausage, what’s not to love? The three of us will eat them any time of day.
Bryan also likes waffles just fine. When we have them for breakfast, he’ll happily consume several. But he will not eat them in the evening. In fact, any breakfast food is anathema to him after about 4:00pm.
I know my husband’s not alone here, because my brother-in-law feels the same way. I don’t understand it, though. Shouldn’t a good meal be a good meal, no matter what time of day it’s served? If I can eat cold pizza for breakfast, surely my husband can enjoy a waffle for dinner.
The fact remains, however, that he does not, so I save Camilla’s favorite breakfast-dinner for times when her daddy won’t be there, and serve regular dinner foods for the evening meal. Bryan makes plenty of concessions to my preferences, so it’s the least I can do for him.
I don’t mind. But I do look forward to Waffle Night.
How do the people in your life feel about breakfast-for-dinner? How do you yourself feel about it?
