Buy a Great Book to Support the Dubruiel Family

Today, I’m wishing I had Oprah’s ability to recommend a book and watch it skyrocket. I don’t, but I’m still going to ask you to consider purchasing The How-To Book of the Mass by Michael Dubruiel.
The reason for the request is two-fold. As Danielle mentioned earlier, Michael’s wife Amy has indicated that all royalties from this book go directly to his children’s college savings funds. At a time when many of us are frustrated with the fact that distance keeps us from physically supporting Amy and her kids, this is something tangible we can do to help this special family.
But equally as important, The How-To Book of the Mass is simply a terrific book. I remember when it was released in 2007 thinking that this book should be on the bookcase of every Catholic family. Here’s an overview of the book:
The How-to Book of the Mass not only provides the who, what, where, when, and why of the most time-honored traditions of the Catholic Church, but also the how. All in an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand format.
In this complete guide to the celebration of the Eucharist you get:
* Step-by-step guidelines to walk you through the Mass
* Biblical background of the prayers of the Mass
* Insights from the Tradition and teaching of the Church
* Practical aid to overcoming distractions
* Concrete ways to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ at every Mass
* A handy study guide for individual or group use
So today, it would be truly wonderful if as many families as possible could reach out and help the Dubruiels, and themselves as well, by acquiring this book for their own Catholic libraries. If you already own a copy, why not purchase one for your parish library or local Catholic high school? I would love to see Michael Dubruiel’s book at the top of Amazon’s bestseller list this week. This would be a wonderful tribute to a man who has helped inspire and educate Catholics all over the world!
