Buzz in the Mail

I really should be more careful about the people with whom I share information about my shameful little addictions.
Back in April when I gave a talk to the moms at Royalmont Academy in Ohio, I think I might have shared my bad habit of drinking an occasional can of Red Bull to keep me going when my energy stores run low.
Imagine my surprise, though, when I received this package in the mail this week. My kids lugged it out of the post office (It’s heavy!) and said, “This is from Royalmont Academy and it’s marked LIQUID.”
That piqued my curiosity.
Inside was a gift to surpass all gifts for anyone who enjoys an occasional can of Red Bull—four 6-packs of the good stuff. That’s over 200 ounces!
Also inside was a sweet note from Royalmont Academy principal Tony Ferraro (someone who I happen to know also indulges in an occasional caffeinated beverage, but I won’t out him here) thanking me for the time I spent at Royalmont and informing me that one of the student’s parents works for Red Bull. Ah- ha!
So I am pleased to find out that I know good people in high places. And now I am stocked up for late night deadlines, wild road trips, and pretty much anything else the future might have in store for me.
Thanks, Royalmont, for a a great visit and now ... for all the crazy caffeine!
