Here’s a great resource for parents and/or parishes that would like a flexible Catholic Vacation Bible School you can do in your own family or with a group: Summer Faith Adventure from the folks you trust at Holy Heroes.
Summer Faith Adventure is a simply and low-cost way to have a week of Catholic fun and learning for at-home or in your parish. Everything you need is provided: a DVD with daily lessons and activities, a Leader’s Guide to map out each day, and an activity book for every participant.

It is written to be used for families with a variety of different ages. Crafts, games, activity pages and snacks are aimed to appeal to elementary age children, but the leader’s guide has supplemental material for young teens. Our little children (preschool age) have done done this program with their older siblings and loved it as well.
We LOVE Holy Heroes! We have done their Advent and Lenten Adventures for a couple years now, as well as their Summer Faith Adventure last summer. My son is only four and was only three when we began with their online programs, but he enjoys them. We both learn so much about our Catholic faith. The videos, songs, activities, prayers, and information are great. One of the best parts about these high quality programs are that they are FREE (the online versions)! You can also purchase the Summer Faith Adventure set if you want to complete the VBS without being confined to a specific time or your computer/internet access. Thanks for spreading the word about Holy Heroes’ VBS, Faith & Family. It really is such a find!
I don’t know about you, but it makes me so sad to have Protestant VBS at our Catholic parishes. I want the good stuff- Sacraments and Saints!!
