Put me down for two!
Celebrate The Pope's Anniversary
Posted by Rebecca Teti in Faith on Friday, June 24, 2011 12:00 PM
June 29th—appropriately, the Solemnity of Ss. Peter & Paul—the Holy Father will celebrate his 60th anniversary of ordination.
Catholics world-wide are invited to participate in 60 hours of adoration for vocations, and parishes across the country are joining in.
You can download a prayer card to remind you from the USCCB website.
I like the novena for priests we’re already in the middle of better, and the timing couldn’t be more apt.
Wouldn’t it be nice as well to offer 60 rosaries for Benedict’s intentions from the Faith & Family community?
Leave your pledge in comments if you’re able and so inclined. Thanks!

I’ll gladly say a rosary for the Holy Father’s intentions. (Ha ha! My capcha phrase is “say83”. That’s a bit ambitious for me.)
Keep promoting this. I skimmed the original entry and did not notice that the F and F community was going to give our beloved B16 a spiritual bouquet of rosaries until I read the comments. Include one rosary from me! Thank you for doing this. I contacted our diocese about observing the 60th sacerdotal anniversary, and there is nothing planned. No 60 hours of adoration in this neck of the woods(Virginia).
THAT IS MY BIRTHDAY!!
Definitely going to say a rosary and visit the adoration chapel that day. What to hear some else pretty cool? The Pope’s birthday is on my husband’s birthday-and now we find out his anniversary is on mine…AWESOME!
