Introducing the All-New Faith and Family Live

New ways to connect and share with moms like you!

Did we surprise you this morning?

I’m happy to announce that today we are launching the all-new version of Faith and Family Live I’ve mentioned in podcasts and a few other places over the past few weeks.

We now have home page feature articles that will be updated regularly—you can see those in the section above the blog here.

I am also excited to introduce Faith and Family Connect, our own interactive community and an online social network just for moms. It’s free and it’s a great way to interact with other moms on the site. It’s like Facebook on a smaller, more intimate scale—just for Catholic moms.

At Faith and Family Connect, you can set up your own page/profile where you can chat with other moms, post your own blog posts, share photos and videos, and join discussions in the forum. Creating a profile does not commit you to anything and you always control your privacy settings. You can participate and share as much or as little as you like.

I hope you will create your profile and check it out today. Take your time and click around to get used to things over there. It always takes some time getting used to a new cyber-spot, but I guarantee you will wind up feeling at home.

None of these new changes means the Faith and Family Live blog is going away, though. We’re still here on the home page and we’ll still be updating daily, just as we always have. If you prefer to read the blog as it was on the old site, click the “blog” tab at the top of the home page—which brings you to a page that features just the blog.

If you have questions, comments, suggestions, or feedback about the new Faith and Family Live please let us know. You can leave comments here, on our feedback page, or you can always .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

I want to thank you all for being a part of what we do here at Faith and Family Live. The supportive community of moms you create here is one of our most valuable assets. I hope you will all take advantage of the new ways to connect with one another here at Faith and Family.

Let’s continue to encourage one another in the joyful yet challenging work of Catholic living!

I"m glad you still have the blog page, because the home page is now way too ‘busy’ for me to read!

I LOVE IT! =) Especially the F & F Connect! AWESOME!

The new community is great. Although this “ning” user is use to a little bit more freedom when it comes to profile pages, so that was a little bummer. But It it’s is GREAT!!! Thanks for community!

So does this mean we can share our badge now? :D Yippy! Looks great! Fantastic job as always guys. Blessings!

Yes Kelly—please do. We’d live to have all your friends join us!

Nice upgrade! Just took it for a test drive! Congrats to all the behind-the-scenes folks too! May F&F enjoy continued growth in the second half of ‘09!

Sorry can’t say I like it as it does not display well on my computer screen now.  Everything is at the edge and the ‘feedback’ overlaps like a bridge.  Is this the way it is supposed to look now.  It is the only thing that displays differently on my screen and don’t know how to change it without changing all the other screens too?

Really haven’t been able to check through any new features with the screen displayed as it does now.

I am completly overwhelmed by all of this new technology.

momof4, Me too!  I barely have time to read posts here & I just don’t know how other moms find time to spend time on FB, Twitter, and now the forums here…I feel like I am missing out somehow.  I am a pretty organized person but just can’t seem to find time for the cyberworld other than one email friend that I stay in touch w/daily (and have for 10 yrs now).  I’m not sure “progress” is always a good thing…and I long for the Little House simplicity.  Computers are not that for sure.  ; )

Me three :( I guess I’m getting too old to keep up with all the new stuff. It boggles my mind. I miss “simple”.

AnnR, that is is not the way it’s supposed to look. Can you tell me what kind of pc and and monitor you have, what windows version, and what browser you are using—maybe we can fix the problem.

My computer is a Dell,  XP Professional, and if I understand what a browser is it Windows Internet Explorer.  Is this enough information?  Thanks for the help Danielle !!
