E-mealz Goodness

an exciting giveaway!

Forever ago, my friend Vera told me about a website she had come across, a place online that for a small fee, would create a weekly menu for your family. I loved the idea, but decided to keep limping along with my own faulty menu planning skills. I can do this, I reasoned, people do it all the time!

A few months ago, I was feeling just desperate enough that I decided to give the site another look. I checked it out and like what I saw. I decided to sign up for a three-month try.

I am now two months into this experience and oh how I love it! E-mealz has been perfect for us. Each week, I go to the site and download a menu for the week — seven well-balanced meals that are based on the sale items at my grocery store of choice.

One of the first nights I used the menu, the boys were amazed at the variety. We had some kind of chicken that evening (which everyone loved) along with a delicious zuchinni/bacon/parmesan side that none of the boys thought they would like and everyone did. That’s the other great thing about using this service — it is forcing my boys to try new things. I had gotten in a rut of only cooking what I knew they would eat, instead of pushing our limits, just a little.

That evening, as each of my finicky eaters took a taste, their eyes widened when they realized they actually did like this stuff after all. “What is this again,” asked one boy. Oh this strange food from a far-off land!

Now I’m not saying every meal has been a home run, but in general even the dinners that I’m not feeling too sure about, well I have been pleasantly surprised. And the bottom line is that I love how my menu planning is done for me each week — there it is, printed out, along with the shopping list to go buy everything I need.

All in all a very positive experience, and I plan to keeping using E-mealz while I’m in this season of fast-paced living.

I’m excited to announce that E-mealz has offered a one-month subscription to the lucky winner of this giveaway. Enter your name in the comments and Friday afternoon I will pick a winner. I hope you enjoy the service as much as we have!

Sounds like it would be a big help!

Would be awesome to win!

My sister told me about this after she had seen it on your website.  I want to try it!  smile

You have tempted me many times on this service. I haven’t bitten the bullet because, despite being inexpensive, it feels oh so luxurious to spend even a small amount on something I feel like I should be able to do. And I can- it’s just sitting down to do it! Would LOVE to try it, though!

would love to try this out!

I definitely need help with menu planning. Thanks!

My family would love this. We’ve gotten in quite the menu rut lately.

Ah, this sounds like just what I need! Maybe I’ll try it for three months too!

I hear their ads while listening to Dave Ramsey…would love to try!t

That sounds great! I’ve always meant to plan meals around sales, but it just doesn’t happen.

I’d love to give it a whirl with my picky bunch.

Oh, oh, pick me…. please pick me!!!!  Meal planning is so dreadful!!

Wow! I’ve never heard of this and it sounds wonderful. I must confess I’m not a huge fan of cooking (mostly because of the forethought and prep involved) but I also see making meals for my family as a ministry so I can see this as the perfect aid for my ministry. :o)

Pick me, pick me! I would love to try it!

Sounds like a great tool! Would love to try it.

With baby #5 on the way, this service would be wonderful!

Oh!  pick me!  I just found out I’m expecting #7 at age 46 years old!

I would love the chance to try this service!

This sounds like a life saver. Feeling worn out and desperate these days and all out of meal ideas. I could use some new life infused into the monotony of dinner. I am to the point of erupting whenever someone asks, “what’s for dinner?”

I would love to try this out!

Baby # 4 is almost here and dinner time is the absolute worst.  I never know what to make.  This would be fantastic!  smile

I’m in such a meal rut I could use some new ideas.
