Posted by Danielle Bean in Reviews on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 2:53 PM
Wow! I just installed Faith Database on my laptop and am I ever impressed!
No more searching dozens of different websites or flipping through my Bibles when I want a specific Church teaching or Scripture quotation. It’s all right here—over 1500 resource books and 10 bible translations are cross referenced for easy, ready research.
Faith Database features early Church writings from Doctors of the Church, books from John Henry Newman and GK Chesterton, Bible maps and art, Thomas a Kempis’ Imitation of Christ, Augustine’s Confessions, John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, a complete Catechism and Code of Canon Law, and lots more.
Anything and everything you could possibly want to know about Catholicism, Church history and teaching, or the Bible is just a few clicks away on Faith Database. A great resource for schools, parishes, and Catholic families of all kinds.
Would you like your very own Faith Database CD? I’ve got four of them to give away.
Leave a comment here with a valid email address (U.S. citizens only please!) to be entered in a random drawing. Entries will be accepted until Friday, August 22 at midnight EDT.
Good luck!

Pick me! Pick me! I could use that with my youth group!
Oh, please pick my name! What a wonderful resource!
I hereby enter!!
This would be fantastic for our own family, but also because I teach for First Penance/First Communion and my husband teaches Confirmation preparation. We’d put it to VERY good use in our own preparation, in teaching the students, and in catechizing the parents throughout the process!
Pick me, pick me! As a student of a Catholic University working towards her BA in theology, this would be of great help!!!! http://www.cdu.edu
Wow! That looks wonderful, especially for the new school year! Count me in!
This sounds WONDERFUL - please enter my name.
This sounds like a very valuable addition to one’s “Library” I hope I win one of the four copies.
Blessings
Christi G.
I would love one…hope you pick me!!! Although I am pretty unlucky in these type of things!!
Great!! Thanks for giving people a chance to win one of these!!
The faith database sounds wonderful. Certainly would be lighter and easier to use than my concordance, dictionary, bibles and other resources. Some of them way a ton. Way to go!
The question is not, “Do I want to win this?”; the question is “Does God want me to win this?” [falling to my knees] OH, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, USE SOME OF YOUR DIVINE MOJO TO GET ME THIS SWEET DATABASE!!! How about You and me make a deal—I’ll give up sinning! I mean, not entirely, but the really BIG sins, like genocide, that I can avoid, no problem. And I’ll, like, build you a church or something. Or maybe a shed… you know, like one of those TuffSheds, a place you could hang out when you wanted to get away from the tabernacle for a while. I can do this! You just need to score me one of those database CDs!
Unfortunately I am in Europe… (Hungary, 1114 Budapest, Bartók Béla út 19.) - may I also enter?
I can not pay for it - but I am moderator of three catholic mailing groups and daily reader of Danielle Bean and Sr. Patricia Proctor…
God bless!
Viki
I can imagine all sorts of uses for such a valuable tool. A friend and I are teaching 5th grade PREP (Parish Religious Education Program, known in another life time as CCD…HA!). And I am always curious about this or that aspect of our wonderfully rich Faith!
It would be wonderful to have all that information in one place. I have been interested in reading more from the early church fathers to increase my understanding of our wonderful Catholic faith. Please add my name to the drawing. Joy to all.
Patty
I’m In!
(Please ignore the I’m in comment in the wrong article. Too Many pages open.)
I look forward each day to reading your reflections (journeys, etc.). I open my reflection from Sr. Pat (Patricia Proctor) each morning and then connect with your site. It is a wonderful way to start the day. Please enter me in the drawing for one of the Faithbased CDs. As the secretary for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville this would be so fantastic to have in my job. Thank you so very much for this great opportunity.
Cool! Count me in as well. Looks like a treasure trove of materials!
Having this on my computer would make it so easy to seek encouragement from God’s word while I sit by my husband’s bedside
Hi - Hey what a great resource. It would be so helpful in our ministry. Hope I win.!!
Thanks for offering it. Lisa Are Wulf
I would ove to win this! Thank you!
I have been Beta Testing the Faith Database for the past couple of months and boy what a great program! They have been doing an awesome job on this.
Winning this would be such a blessing! For almost five years, I have hosted and facilitated Bible study in home for members of our parish mothers’ group. This would be a great tool to help people strengthen their faith knowledge and equip them to seize evangelization opportunities.
Your blog is enjoyable to read, even though my children are grown and (almost) on their own, I can remember and emphasize with your trials and joys of mothering and home schooling your children. The Faith Database CD would be handy, because I need references of what the Catholic Church teaches even more now that my children are reaching adulthood. (No more just believing what Mama says.)

Please enter me in the drawing - it sounds like an awesome resource!
Please enter me in this drawing. This would be a great resource for my family especially since I homeschool. It would also be a great tool for evangelizing as many others have mentioned. I know so many friends and relatives who would greatly benefit from having a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church. God bless!
Saw the video demo on http://www.faithdatabase.com! It’s awesome! Please enter me into the drawing!
Wow! This sounds like an amazing resource. We homeschool and frequently spend a lot of time looking for information on-line. By the way, Faith and Family is the best! It is just beautiful and the only magazine I immediately sit down and read.
I have to win! I went to http://www.faithdatabase.com and saw the video demo - it’s amazing!
