Faith & Family on the Road

Help us Spread the Word!

I love going to conferences. This past weekend I was blessed to travel with Associate Editor, Lynn Wehner, to the Boston Catholic Women’s Conference (doesn’t our display and table look great?).

I love conferences because all I have to do is show the beauty of the print magazine and it speaks for itself.

Women flip through the magazine and ask, “Why have I never seen this before? This is exactly what I need!”

Lynn and I happily gave away free magazines to everyone who came to our table. Lynn and I agreed that Faith & Family subscribers were our best public relations team. They would bring their friends over to our table and say “I love this magazine. I can’t live without it” and right away their friends would sign up!

Many women were excited to hear that we have such an active website and an online social networking site especially for Catholic moms. (Welcome to those of you who are visiting the site for the first time!)

I also love conferences because I get to meet the writers that I only know via email and phone. Heidi Bratton, author of the Celebrate Series (Circle Press) also had a table at the conference.

Pat Gohn stopped by to talk strategy for our upcoming Faith & Family conference in October.

Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle was a speaker at the conference. She spoke about her decade-long friendship with Mother Teresa of Calcutta, which is also the topic of her latest book, Mother Teresa and Me.

The day was a huge success. Thanks to all of you who help us spread the word about Faith & Family.

We hope to be at more conferences in the future. Do you know of any conferences in your area coming up? Leave it in the comments here or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)!)

I haven’t been to this conference yet, but I’ve heard only good things about it.

I second the Catholic Family Conference in Wichita.  It’s a fabulous conference, we’ve managed to make it 4 times in the last 10 years.  I keep putting Danielle Bean on the “suggestions for future speakers”, but I’d love to hear any (or all!) of the faith and family crew speak.

I am one of those Conference attendees who stopped by your booth on Saturday!  I used to subscribe to the magazine for years.  I eventually stopped when our family of two (husband and I) never grew and I felt the magazine would not pertain to me any longer.  However, we two are a family and it’s nice to see the magazine and website speaks to me as well as our Catholic faith.  I look forward to future reading and rejoining.

Robyn, I enjoyed chatting with you and Lynn about the magazine. I look forward to you first Conference in October.

It was especially beautiful to speak at our table with so many women who are struggling valiantly in this insane world to find other women who are trying to do what they are: be “radical” and truly raise their kids Catholic! The conference was the latest reminder for me to pray for each other on this wild ride as Catholic women ... God would expect nothing less of us. smile

We would love to see you at the Midwest Catholic Family Conference!! It is a great conference with many families and wonderful speakers.  For anyone in the midwest area you should come if you haven’t before.  It is in Wichita, KS in August.
