Small Success vol. 81

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my small successes for this week:

1. Bookcases and school shelves! Cleaned and organized!

2. Books! Ordered and arriving daily!

3. New school computer! Pretty much have convinced my husband it’s a worthwhile investment. Planning an outing to go pick it up this weekend. Go me!

(Can you see where my brain is these days? How is back-to-school going for you?)

Now it’s your turn! Please share all the small but significant ways you’ve done the right thing this week.

Looks like you are all ready for school!!  Maybe I need to get thinking along those lines too. Humph!

Hi, Danielle,
My successes are school related as well.  Things are going pretty well but with room for improvement.
I’m happy for you getting your new school computer.  The joy new technology brings cannot be underestimated.  Everything just moves along so much easier when you don’t have to yell at the computer and threaten to throw it out the window to get it to work!  Enjoy!

Wow, are you ever organized! God bless you! It’ll make a difference to the start of your school year for sure!!

Oh, boy—how in the world did I miss this? Danielle, do you homeschool?

Yes, we do. The “we” is important because my husband does a large share of it.

Sorry I posted twice!!  Accidentally posted one from two weeks ago first.  You can delete #21 off the linky if you want. Great successes!! Glad your school year is off to a productive start.

You deserve credit for that one too, Monica. I’m leaving it! grin

Organization ALWAYS makes me feel better about….well, everything.  Great job.

Danielle, it’s good to see that I’m not the only one starting homeschool AFTER Labor Day.  In my 17 years of homeschooling, I’ve never been able to bring myself to school in August.  Late August is just about the time that I starting thinking about the new year’s curriculum
; - )

yay for bookshelves and books to warm them with! Definitely school-minded here too.

Good for all of you!

1. I did start school.
2. Soccer started and I found all the equipment.
3. Paid bills.

PS Prayers for a friend who is expecting her 8th. She is feeling very overwhelmed to start the school year with nausea and being unsure if she’ll miscarry. (has several times)
Thanks.

For me, the biggest successes have been self-care. Being in my first trimester of pregnancy with a young toddler at home makes it sometimes hard to remember to take care of yourself. So I’m trying to rest when I can, drink more water, and eat more often.

So far it seems to be working!
