Good Job, Mom

Small Successes vol. 29

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my Small Successes for this week:

1. The dentist thing, of course. The kids are currently up-to-date on their dental check ups. Woo hoo!

2. I have not yet cried or whined about the fact that my dryer is broken again. Are you tired of hearing about my dryer? Shouldn’t I just get a brand new awesome machine with energy-saving “intelli-dry” technology and everything? Does this count as whining or crying? I hope not, because I’m keeping it as Small Success #2. Repairman comes tomorrow ... Here’s hoping he has BIG success with my 13-year-old machine. or that I have BIG success convincing Dan I need a new one already. I do like that “intelli-dry” business.

3. I have been trying a new little experiment with a small way to improve my marriage. So far, so good. I will update you on this success in a separate post early next week.

Now it’s your turn to join in the fun. Please share all the small ways you’ve found success this week.

I love your third success Danielle!  I’m curious about that one.  Here are my successes for the week.
1-Finally used my whitening kit from the dentist, and my teeth look so much better!
2-Bought 2 dresses and a pair of shoes for $45 . Yeah JCPenney 70% off sale, and yeah me for losing all that weight so I could actually buy a petite size!!
3-Made my husband’s lunch for him every day. : )

1. I managed to deep clean the kitchen, living room, my toddler’s room and the bathroom even though I am suffering from awful pregnancy headaches.

2. I’ve stayed “relatively” calm about our upcoming move and wrote out a to-do list of everything that needs done before hand.

3. I’ve made dinner every night this week!

I beg all your pardons (?) for including my give-away in my small successes, but I’ve been working awfully hard on it!  Please feel free to click over and sign up!

Danielle! I’m really proud of your list…especially #2 and #3…I can’t wait for the last one. #2 is spectacular…especially with your incredible family!!! You are a rockstar!

small successes…this is good.
1. We traveled 3+ hours away for the first time in 5 months to visit family…and the kids did great!
2.  Was able to take at least 3 morning rosary walks before the crew awoke.
3.  Shared new pregnancy news and kept the conversation positive.

Ooh Danielle, you are really being mysterious with #3.  I am really looking forward to reading about that!

My #1 and #2 are the same as yours….My dryer is insane.  It dries for 5 mins then shuts off.  It than takes 2-3 mins (which seem like hours when you are trying to do a load at 9:00 p.m.)  I have suppressed my urge to kick, scream and just about bite off my DH’s head about it.
#3 I have been do very patient with my DD’s tantrums.

I would love to know what your doing for #3. Can’t wait to see the post.

1. Finished weeding the garden and just in time since it’s raining now and I can already see new ones.
2. sent the kids on a scavenger hunt in town so they would be outside playing
3. took kids hiking AND let them get really muddy
