Gratitude and a Giveaway

Enter for your chance to win prizes from Shabby Apple, Rey Swimwear, and St. Benedict Gift shop!

*** Giveaway is over and comments are closed. ***

At the risk of sounding like a broken record I can’t help saying one last time what an amazing experience I had at the Faith and Family Mom’s Day Away.

To those of you who attended, thank you for bringing the gift of yourself and blessing me with your beauty. To those of you who did not, I hope to see you next year! Short of a calamity or brand new baby (you never know!), nothing could keep me away.

There are so many people who pitched in to make the event a success. Among them are our generous sponsors—the majority of which are small Catholic businesses who joyfully sacrificed their time, talents and treasures to make the day extra special for us busy Catholic mothers.

I’d like to first thank BibleToys.com—the event’s official sponsor. They actually sent one of their Hard Playsets to each and every attendee to bring home with her! I can tell you, I was not the only Mama in attendance who was hugely delighted by this. What incredible generosity and what amazing toys! My kids have already been to their website and have created Bible Toy wish lists!

It was only because of the generosity of the good people at BibleToys.com that we were able to put on such a lovely event that truly was a relaxing, refreshing day for moms, and still maintain a reasonable ticket price. We are so grateful that BibleToys.com supports Faith & Family in its mission of service and support for Catholic families.

I’d also like to send a special thank you to Melanie Gillespie of Trendy Traditions. When I originally contacted Melanie it was to ask her to donate an item or two for our giveaway. She wrote back offering to make a chaplet for every single attendee. She faithfully prayed over each one as she created it (there were a variety of beautiful designs to choose from), included a beautiful image, and wrapped each chaplet up in a gorgeous drawstring bag. I was left speechless. Thank you, sweet Melanie.

I contacted other businesses, too, to ask for support. We really wanted to make this a fun experience for our attendees, in addition to it being rejuvenating spiritually-speaking. One of the ways we endeavored to do this was by having giveaways. The following businesses answered my plea with a level of kindness and generosity that was truly inspiring.

Mystic Monk Coffee
Just a Tiny Owl
Gardens of Grace
Cedar Ridge Soaps
Anchor Imports
Rey Swimwear
Family Centered Press
DustbinCards
Audrey Assad
Shabby Apple
Community of Saint Benedict
Dominican Nuns of Summit, New Jersey

I hope everyone reading this will take a few moments to visit one or more of the websites listed above. These companies—every one of them—sacrificed to show their love for mothers and the often challenging vocation of motherhood. That means a lot to me and the entire Faith and Family family. Thank you all so very much. You will be in our prayers!

Now for the fun part! We still have four giveaways—a stunning Shabby Apple dress, a $40 Rey Swimwear gift certificate, and two $20 gift certificates to the Community of Saint Benedict Gift Shop—that have yet to be given away! Simply leave a comment below and you will be entered to win one of these lovely gifts. The contest will close at 12:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, April 20.

Take care, ladies!
