High Five for You

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).
If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.
To get us started, here are my Small Successes for this week:
1. Daniel’s tantrums. They have increased in number and volume over the past week and I have not yet freaked out once. Is this one of the benefits of being a more experienced mom? He doesn’t raise my blood pressure these days so much as make me smile (but I hide that—he must not see me amused).
2. The bookcase. Yes, that bookcase. I gutted it, threw away lots, and put the books back in neatly. What a difference! I almost think it smiles at me every time I enter the room now.
3. Baked oatmeal. I have been making it for the kids’ breakfast on a regular basis. It’s ridiculously healthy and filling and they LOVE it. So much better than cold cereal and toast. I plan to post some recipes soon.
Now you share yours. I find it very encouraging to read through these each week—so many good moms doing so many small but important things. Go you!
