Hitting the Road

Headed to San Antonio for networking, prayer, learning & fun.

Lucky me!  As you read this, I’m winging my way to San Antonio for this year’s Catholic New Media Celebration, hosted by the Star Quest Production Network.  Of the many things I’m looking forward to this weekend, probably one of the most exciting is that I get to meet Danielle Bean in person!!

Danielle and I will be joining other Catholic New Media enthusiasts for a look out how we can follow in the footsteps of St. Paul in using today’s technology to spread the Gospel message.  While we are in San Antonio, we’ll be gathering with bloggers, podcasters, videographers and those who enjoy consuming new media.  People are coming from all over the country for the conference, and we’ll even have participants from as far away as Europe and South Africa.

The great news is that you can join us too!  The entire day will be broadcast live via streaming video.  Simply head to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sqpnlive and tune in.  You won’t want to miss Danielle’s talk on “New Media and Your Family” at 10:00 am (Texas time!) and the live one hour Sarah Bauer concert at 5:00 pm.  View additional program details here

Danielle and I will meet Friday evening after an online friendship that has spanned several years.  I promise to share a few photos of that special meet up here, as well as some of the highlights of the conference, here at Faith & Family Live.  Please pray for our safe travels and for a fruitful conference experience for all who will be gathering.

Blessings,
Kate
