How to Thank the Pampering Angels

When my husband walked through the front door last night he had two huge gift baskets for me. Nope, they weren’t from him, though he was sweet enough to pick them up and deliver them to me.
The card inside read:
“In your delicate condition, we thought you would love some pampering, so here are two baskets filled with lots of goodies for your bath and palate - enjoy! Bon Appetit and Relax!
Love from your Pampering Angels”
The baskets were adorned with flowers, ribbon and colorful, fluffy tissue. They were full to bursting with bath goodies (soaps, creams, oils, bubbles, and salts), assorted toiletries, a luxurious bath towel, brand spankin’ new pajamas, refreshing beverages, delicious dark chocolates, a beautiful kitchen towel, cute napkins, this book, one of my favorite magazines and more! I was speechless.
These gift baskets didn’t come from family members or dear friends. They came from my husband’s co-workers. They were lovingly prepared by three women, one whom I’ve only met in passing and two whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting. These kind women—knowing only that I was seven months pregnant, had four little ones at home, and was enduring ridiculous amounts of heat and humidity—felt compelled to shower me with love.
I cannot tell you how this not-so-little gesture lifted my spirits! I was positively giddy all night long as I soaked in the tub, savored my delicacies, read my book (which is excellent, by the way) and snuggled into my new cozy pajamas. The euphoria has yet to wear off.
How does one begin to say “thank you” for such kindness? I suppose she could blog about it (hypothetically speaking, of course), and a thank you note is a given, but that all seems hugely inadequate! I need a gesture of thanks that screams:
“Thank you! No, no—I really mean it! THANK YOU!!! You have no idea what a mercy you’ve shown this huge, hot and hormonal mess of a gal! I LOVE YOU! We don’t know each other well but I have mad love for you, ladies! You’re peaches! Peaches, I tell you!”
Any suggestions?
Would all you creative types out there please shower me with ideas? What’s a cute, fun way to thank someone when they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to bless you, simply because they have huge hearts and a lot of compassion?
Thank you in advance! No, no—I really mean it! Thank you!
