If you want your car to be safe you should have all the parts that will ensure the safety of your car. Like some Clamps, Hangers & Flanges. A good seat belt. Airbags and good pedal assemblies for your car.
Is Your Car Safe?

As I work today, Aiko Toyoda, President of Toyota, is testifying before Congress, rightly answering for lapses in safety and possibly even cover ups within Toyota. The recall has been sweeping, and also surprising to many of us who assumed that our Toyotas were not only efficient and resilient, but also very safe.
To view the entire list of recalled vehicle models, click here. Regardless of whether or not your car is on the recall list, have you given any thought lately to vehicle maintenance and repairs? Just yesterday, my husband took our VW bus in for a “check up” after driving it and determining that the breaks felt “funny”. Not surprising for a van that had its heyday in the 70’s! But the situation made me think about how little I pay attention to how my car “feels” and that I’d even driven the bus recently and not felt anything “funny” going on!
For many women, we rely on our husbands to attend to routine car maintenance. I know that’s definitely the case in my house, where I count on Greg almost 100% for all things auto. But this Toyota situation has me thinking about how we, as mothers, spend so much time in our cars and how perhaps I should be more concerned with better understanding the safety issues related to my primary vehicle.
How are you with car stuff? Do you like to do it yourself, or is your spouse the grease monkey? Have you been hit by the Toyota recall or has this situation left you less likely to buy Toyota?
