It's a Girl

Welcoming Maddalena Marie Sansone!

On Saturday, March 6th the world got just a little bit sweeter with the birth of precious little Maddalena Marie Sansone, the first daughter of Chris and Sarah Sansone.  You likely know and love Maddalena’s mommy—Sarah Bauer, the lovely Catholic artist who is the voice behind our Faith & Family Live Cast’s theme song “Radiance”.

I’ve been a Sarah Bauer groupie for years.  My love for her music grew after my first telephone interview with her, on the heels of her engagement to her adorably charming husband Chris.  In the past few years, we’ve watched their marriage blossom and grow, just as Sarah has continued to create amazing music.  Last year, a lucky few of us were able to see this talented couple perform in person and to even “hang out” with them at the Catholic New Media Celebration in San Antonio.  One of my favorite memories from that trip involved Danielle Bean, Sarah Bauer and a late night trip to a Mexican restaurant.  It was one of those “pinch me” moments.

With Maddalena’s arrival, Sarah now joins the ranks of Catholic motherhood, a vocation for which she’s been preparing for the past few years.  Lena will be raised in home filled with faith, with love, and with music!

As a Sarah Bauer fan, I can’t wait to hear the songs my favorite artist will be inspired to write and sing as she joyfully embraces this new part of her vocation.

As Sarah’s friend, my heart is overflowing with happiness for Chris, Sarah and precious little Lena.  Please join me in praying for their continued health and for a lifetime of blessings!

CONGRATS SARAH AND CHRIS!! SO exciting!!!

I’m so happy for Sarah and Chris! Congratulations and many blessings to them!

They are an adorable, talented couple. I’m so happy to hear they now have a lovely baby girl!!  Wait a sec…. july, aug…  maybe Lena is a little CNMC Texas souvenir!  *Happy Smile*

Lisa, what a loving post & tribute to Sarah & Chris, and now the new addition to their family… thanks for sharing this wonderful news with all of us.

That night with you & Sarah in a late-night Mexican restaurant is also one of my fondest memories, Lisa. And I was grinning REAL WIDE when I got the email bearing this happy news.  Welcome Maddalena Marie! You are so loved!

Congrats to Chris and Sarah!

That said, my heart was prepared to read a really sad story after your first paragraph. A Catholic artist had chosen to give her child up for adoption?

As I kept reading I realized that that wasn’t the case at all. Perhaps I am just dense, but for the sake of clarity why not write “Maddalena Marie Sansone, the first daughter of Chris Sansone and Sarah Bauer” rather than changing the name once?

This is going in the baby book!  We feel so loved that little Lena is so celebrated by everyone in the blogosphere.  I think it’s about time I actually start a blog…give me a few weeks, she’s keeping me busy!!!  Thank you so much Lisa!
