It's Still Thursday

Small Successes vol. 26

I can’t believe I forgot the Small Successes!

I blame it on the fact that I am in Connecticut right now visiting with my sister and her beautiful family. I am so busy succeeding in real life, I forgot to chronicle it here on the blog.

But anyway. better late than never and it is still Thursday (but please participate on Friday too! It’s my fault!) ... so ...

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my Small Successes for this week:

1. I made it to Connecticut all by myself with a gang of kids in tow. Nuff said.

2. I helped a gang of cousins and friends bake and decorate some super cute cookies this afternoon. I’ll post sharing those details tomorrow.

3. I am enjoying a fabulous, low-key, vacation style visit with my sister and her kids. Again, nuff said.

Now share yours!

UPDATE: Apparently, Mr. Linky is acting up again. Until it shows up, please post your link in the comments.

1. Cleaned the stove and replaced the drip pans.
2. Tended to the pear tree.
3. Cleaned some super-smudged windows.

1.  I walked, not drove, my 6 yr old, 2 yr old, and 9 month old to the soccer field without a stroller.  That was interesting.

2.I have been praying the rosary every day this week!  ( I feel great!)

3.  I have not slacked on my homeschooling duties this week and my little reader is thriving.  ( Rocky theme song…)

I didn’t find Mr Linky so here is my link: http://colleenspiro.blogspot.com/2009/07/small-successes-july-16.html

I loved your list. #1 is especially impressive!!

1. I bought math books for two of the kids.

2. I managed to make dinner tonight even though I am still recovering from the flu.

3. I lost five pounds because of said flu.  wink

A trip by yourself with the kids is a huge success!

Sounds like you are having a fun trip!!

Here is the link to my list for this week:  http://showerofroses.blogspot.com/2009/07/small-successes-july-16-2009.html

1- Did not bite my husband’s head off when he told my son he could stay out later than I told him.  I was at my friend’s house shooting the breeze at the time.
2-Folded all the clean laundry my husband didn’t without complaining.  (Do you see a pattern here LOL!)
3-  Let my husband go to bed without a complaint from me while I waited up for above son.  Sigghhhhhh.
It’s been a rough week, but I made it through.

I don’t have a link for you, but I do have Mr. Linky info!

You need to switch to the new Linky server.  It works like a charm.  The info is here:  http://www.misterlinky.net/blog/?p=169

I switched today.  Fast, painless, easy, and everything is working great now.  smile

I’ve been on vacation from Small Successes too!  I was beginning to think maybe F&F Live and discarded the idea.

Here’s the link to mine: http://halfadozenproductions.blogspot.com/2009/07/way-to-go-mom.html

Wow, driving with children by yourself!

Check out my one very small, very satisfying success: http://stmonicasbridge.blogspot.com/2009/07/small-success.html

1 - I didn’t get all uptight about having the social worker come to the house for our homestudy.
2 - Completed the adoption application and mailed it.
3 - Am now giving it over to God’s will for our family and am relying on Our Lady for handling the ups and downs to come.

Enjoy your visit with your sister, Danielle, and kudos to everyone else for all of your successes!

Kate
