Kitchen Staples

We normally grocery-shop on Tuesday evenings, but we have a sick toddler and it was 12 degrees outside at 5:00, so I thought, “Is grocery shopping tonight really necessary?”
I checked the kitchen for our must-haves and found that we could easily put off the shopping for another day or two. Relief!
It occurred me to wonder what other families generally keep in their larders. (Isn’t that such a nice old-fashioned word, ‘larder’?)
Here’s our list of beverages and foods which would necessitate a trip to the store should we suddenly run out:
Water: We buy spring water by the gallon because that’s the only way we’ll drink a decent amount of it. I’ll happily make an extra grocery-store run rather than drink our vile tap water.
Milk and half-and-half: Bryan and I don’t have to have it, but Camilla drinks a fair amount each day. (Rather than buying whole milk for her, we simply add half-and-half to our low-fat milk.)
Pineapple-orange juice: Camilla’s juice of choice and mine as well.
Yogurt: Specifically, whole-milk yogurt for the toddler, who sometimes eats three or four containers in a day.
Coffee and tea: Coffee for Bryan and tea for me. We need our hot caffeinated beverages in the morning.
And really, other than that we’re pretty easy. I can always find something in the cupboard to throw together for breakfast or lunch. It is important for us to have bread on hand, but we don’t buy it - my dad keeps us stocked with his excellent homemade bread, and if I find the freezer is suddenly without it I can make a pretty fair loaf myself.
I think it’s pretty funny that most of our pantry must-haves are beverages. Wouldn’t have expected that.
What are your household food and drink staples?
