Let's Pray for Our Marriages

Help Us, O Holy Mother

My heart has been aching for our Faith & Family community in recent weeks.

I have noticed a lot of pain, a lot of heartache, in the comments of recent Coffee Talks (especially in the marriage and NFP threads).

I thought it might be a good idea for us to pray together ... especially for our marriages. Will you join me in a novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for this intention, beginning today? I will post reminders here on the blog for the nine days.

O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children, we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today, especially for the women of the Faith & Family community. Bless our marriages, bless our husbands, heal our hearts, and make us strong.

We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your gentle care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help all of us, Holy Mother, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever.

Amen.

I’m in!  Thank you, Danielle!  This is a great idea.

Btw, I love that picture.  I bought the set when you originally posted on the artist.  Off to check and see if he has anything new.

What a wonderful idea, Danielle! My prayers will be with all the beautiful Faith and Family families!

Thank you, Danielle!  I am in, too.  I, also felt sad reading the hurt and suffering.  No one better than our Blessed Mother to intercede for us and our marriages.

I’m in!

Brilliant idea. I have been praying for a lot of the people who have shared their struggles.

Thank you for doing this. I will appreciate the reminders as well. smile  this is beautiful!

Thanks Danielle!  I would love to join in on the novena!

I’m in, and I will also try to have the guts to pray for strong and holy marriages during the intercessions at our daily Mass.

I am in and I appreciate the prayers.

Praying along with everybody…

I’m in; great idea!

I’m praying.

Oh Danielle!  You just answered a prayer.  My husband returns to our family in 9 days after a 7 year incarceration.  My plan tonight was to begin a novena for our marriage and the transition our family will make as we joyfully welcome him home and find our new “normal” with our family reunited!!

I’m in for sure. So many I know are struggling with their marital relationships. I don’t know if it’s just that we’re at THAT age ... but it hasn’t escaped the younger set either. I will pray for the marriages of those that I love, those I know who are struggling, those with strong unions and for those on this blog who have expressed their needs. I also, as always, will pray for my own marriage.

Count me in, too!  Thank you.  This is so needed.  Some of the recent posts have been weighing heavy on my mind and heart.  Like you said, so much pain and heartache.  So sad. Let the novena begin!  Thank you again.

I’m in, and have it scheduled too!

Thank you Danielle ! This is exactly what I needed. I’ll join the novena and pray for us all.

Thank you for this. praying along with everyone.

Thank you Danielle, for initiating this and for the daily reminders.  I’ve also been heartbroken reading what many women are experiencing in their marriages, and am also in a pretty difficult and painful time with my own husband/marriage right now.  Praying for us all!

I’ve joined too. DH and I have been struggling financially for years and we’re having to decide if we through in the towel with his business or if we stick it through. It’s great to know that we’re all praying together. It gives me great hope! Thanks Danielle for the great idea and reminders too.

What a great idea. Thanks for posting this. I missed the date when you did the original novena, but I’ll start my own right now!
