I LOVE this style and I have some amazing vintage pieces. I worry a little bit about looking like I’m wearing a costume. Maybe I need to get over it!
(Great viedo. I loved her as soon as the first thing she said was “y’all”.)

Hello girls!
Are any of you fans of the AMC show Mad Men? Though I’m not a devotee myself, my eyes light up every time I spot pictures from the series somewhere. What I wouldn’t give to get my hands on some of those outfits!
Imagine my delight upon learning that the costume designers for Mad Men have a blog on the AMC website called Fashion File! Let’s just say that things temporarily felt a little less Lenten around here upon my making such a valuable discovery. ![]()
If you are as smitten as I am with vintage fashion I highly recommend that you wander over to the AMC website to view their photo galleries, read posts written by their wardrobe team (including one that promises to teach us “How to Dress Like a Mad Woman”) or to watch one of several entertaining videos posted. My personal favorite is this Q&A with costume designer Janie Bryant:
It’s a veritable feast for the eyes of the vintage crazy among us! Enjoy!
Have a lovely weekend, ladies!

Hi Amy,
Somewhere on the Fashion File blog one of the designers talks about how one can add a little vintage flavor into their wardrobe without going so overboard that they end up looking like a character in the show. I wish I could remember where I saw that! If I see it again I’ll post the link!
Take care!
I am one of what AMC has dubbed a “MADict” I love this show… mainly because it isn’t so leave it to beaver… and the amazing costume and prop departments. It’s a brilliant show.
