Mighty Moms Weigh In Here

Small Successes vol. 22

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, please share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my small successes for this week:

1. I picked a play and worked out the details for hosting another summer drama camp at our house this July. We have such a great group of kids, I’m really looking forward to it. Oliver Twist, here we come!

2. Gabby spent an entire afternoon last week suffering from what appeared to be a stomach virus. So far, though, no one else has gotten sick. Whether I can take credit for this odd bit of what appears to be good fortune, I am counting it a success.

3. I finally got to one of Eamon’s baseball games yesterday afternoon. (Dan usually goes to his games and I’ve usually got about 6 other games to attend so I skip out.) I watched him hit. I watched him catch. I sat in the sun and focused on only my oldest son, his teammates, and their accomplishments for a couple of hours. A small, sweet success indeed.

Now it’s your turn. I just love reading everyone’s entries—Please share all the small ways you’ve found success this week!

1.  I survived Kindergarten Graduation.
2.  I survived meeting the new incoming Kindergarten Parents.
3.  I read my “assignment” for that special person I am meeting with in a few days.

I bet you really enjoyed that game Danielle!  Now, would you please send some of that sunshine down here to NYC? Please, pretty please, with sugar on top!!!!

Your life sounds alot like mine!  I’ve missed out on most of my eldest daughter’s softball games because I like to be at the younger ones’ games in case they get hurt.  I finally made it to the playoffs for her - it was great.  Oh and I think that virus is going around everywhere.

1. I spent over two hours at the DMV changing my license so it’d be from the state where we currently live (and have been living for the past, mmmm, 4 years)
2. I had a good time with my MIL visiting this week
3. DH and I had a full date: dinner AND a movie (“UP”, which is absolutely awesome btw)

forgot to stop by yesterday and post mine!
here it is at my blog: http://christinacostain.blogspot.com/2009/06/first-trip-to-dentist-this-week-for-z-d.html

1. taking all four of my boys to the dentist and actually getting the 2yr olds teeth cleaned!
2. growing a strawberry plant
3. date with my husband despite not feeling so well

I am so glad that you posted this here.  I live in Omaha but I didn’t know about this missing girl.  We have all been sick this past week w/ the stomach flu and the TV hasn’t been on much.  I have older teenage children.  Do you know what school she was going to?
God Bless,
di
