Where do you hunt for bargains?

Since my birthday, anniversary, and Mother’s Day all occur within a few weeks, I usually make it easy on my husband who would be hard pressed to come up with three gifts on his own.
On my birthday this year, after we spent a lovely spring morning hiking and doing lots of nature photography in a nearby state park, we proceeded to an outlet mall where I went on a (restrained) shoppping spree.
One of my favorite finds was this dress from Coldwater Creek. It was on a clearance rack, marked down from $99 to $12.
The bodice is cotton-poly knit and the skirt a cotton-poly woven blend. The wide patent belt hits a just above my natural waist, which is good since I’m a little thinner at that point. I wore it to Mass this past Sunday since the weather was neither cold nor rainy for a change.
There’s nothing like outlet store clearance racks to give me the chance to snag some wardrobe pieces that I could not normally afford. I mean, $99 will feed my family for a week, so I don’t dare spend it on a dress. But $12? At that price, I’m ready to indulge myself.
