Offer It Up!

Two weeks from tomorrow, we go back to the doctor. Two weeks doesn’t sound like all that long unless you had been mentally geared up for ONE week.
A few weeks ago, I got a call from the cast clinic to set up our next appointment. Six weeks from accident date would be sometime next week, but the nurse was telling me the doctor wanted to see us the following week. That extra week, seven days, was just more than I could handle. For a few hours I was overwhelmed and weepy. I can’t handle another week, said I, I just can’t. (Henry, as you can see by the picture, is doing not-too-bad.)
But handle it I must. The doctor is not available next week, and he always errs on the side of more time than less, so our next appointment will be a week later than I had planned.
In an effort to take my focus off MYSELF and how challenging this is and how I’m so over this spica cast, I’d love to hear from you. What are you dealing with that you’d like prayers for? Are you in the last few weeks of a pregnancy? Hoping to get pregnant? Having another struggle? For the next two weeks, I will be praying for you. We could be like in a race together—we’re in the home stretch and we just need a good running buddy limping along next to us.
We can do this! With God’s grace, we can.
