So SORRY your kids have been ill! I AM bowing to your awesomeness!
One Small Step for Momkind
Posted by Danielle Bean in Family on Thursday, January 21, 2010 7:01 AM
It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).
If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.
To get us started, here are my small successes for this week:
1. I de-cluttered my bedroom—something that hadn’t been done since before Christmas. I’ll leave the ugly details to your imagination.
2. Potty training is still ongoing. Successes have been many. Accidents have been many. I haven’t yet lost my patience or given up. Small success!
3. We’re in our second week of 4 kids on antibiotics and so far I have only forgotten one dose. Bow to my awesomeness, please ...
Now it’s your turn! I love reading about everyone’s successes every week. Don’t be shy—tell us all about it!

Small successes:
1. I’ve kept up with my menu planning and I grocery-shopped accordingly (and haven’t had to run back to store for missed items).
2. I’ve been using my crockpot more and more. It is such a pleasure to come home to a nice meal after a busy day, with a busy evening ahead of you too!
3. I’ve been doing a tad little bit more spiritual reading (daily mass readings, books, etc.) It’s still a challenge for me to put my prayer life first; I tend to have the attitude “If I spend 15 minutes in prayer right now, whenever am I going to get X and Y done!” Yet, I know that X and Y would be so much more manageable if I kept those appointments with God…
#3 I am bowing all the way to the floor! Good for you!
So for me it only took 20 emails to get an ad set up and I didn’t give up, I re-read the next Chapter of a Mother’s Rule of Life and admitted I need to try and need confession. Now I just need to get there.
