Small Successes vol. 41

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my small successes for this week:

1. I baked two apple pies. Just because.

2. I finally remembered to buy dryer sheets. Since we started using our wood stove the house has been very dry. My poor husband’s work clothes were getting rather staticked (if it’s not a word, it should be) but I kept forgetting to buy dryer sheets. I finally remembered this week and ... Ooooooh, la la!

3. I bleached the kitchen sink. And not my shirt or pants.

Okay, now it’s your turn. Tell me about your successes this week!

I am REALLY impressed with that number 3!!!!!! GOOD JOB! I might ask you for lessons!

1) I baked a pumpkin pie last night.
2) I made my daughter a very respectable Martha costume for the 1st grade All Saints Day parade tomorrow morning.
3) And got my boss to agree that I could go to said parade at 10:30 tomorrow morning.

Great list. I have never been able to bake pies from scratch so I admire those who do! By the way, I was born and raised in your neck of the woods. I am missing autumn! Thanks for hosting this great meme! God bless.

Ooh, I’m writing a huge post on all the homemade things I’m planning to make for Christmas with links, but I don’t know if that’s enough to count for all three successes!  :>)  I did get one of the things knocked out last night . . . I’ll be finishing the post and publishing it this evening if anybody wants to click over and see what I’m doing!  I’ll need a few suggestions for my 9 mo old nephew . . .

1. Finally cleaned my husband’s and my bedroom yesterday
2. I baked some gluten free bread for my son
3. I finally got myself to Adoration this week.  grin How beautiful our Jesus is!!

Amylisa, my son and I are celiac and I have yet to find a bread recipe that we like.  Could you mail me your recipe?  My son would really appreciate it.  Maybe that will be my next week’s success.  .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

1. Read one full chapter of a book.
2. Folded all socks from the sock bag and survived.
3. Kept from complaining over the constant removal of books from the bookshelf.

1. We are going to have a very busy weekend, so I made some meals ahead of time tonight - Chili, Pork Fried Rice, Chocolate Banana Muffins, and Applesauce.

2. Took a nap snuggled up with my 4 year old.  It was absolutely wonderful!

3. Made it to the library with our children and found some great books.

Well, I’m a day late, but here goes anyway.
1. I cleaned my desk off, so I can have a nice area to write at.
2. I made 2 pots of soup and stew on Sunday so I wouldn’t have to cook during the week.
3.  I make it to Friday, and am wearing a Halloween Sweatshirt to school today for our party! (I love Kindergarten! I say that with a smile on my face ! Yeah! )
