Saintly Strategic Planning

I'm headed to an important weekend meeting...

As you read this blog post, I will be winging my way across the country to Atlanta to attend a strategic planning meeting for the board of SQPN.com.  I feel so very honored to be a part of organizations such as Faith & Family, and the Star Quest Production Network.

Having an affiliation with amazing new media evangelists such as Fr. Roderick Vonhögen and Danielle Bean inspires me so greatly in my work.  While one is a Dutch priest, and the other a “homeschooling-magazine editing-website running-book writing” (whew) mom of eight, both share an energy and a drive that is simply infectious.  What makes us love and admire both Fr. Roderick and Danielle is not their saintly ways (although they do have them), but rather their true love of their faith and the way in which they live it out in this, the “real world”.  Fr. Roderick may grow weary and frustrated while trying to learn a new programming technique, just like I sometimes do.  Danielle has to deal with teenagers, toddlers and potty training just like the rest of us.  And yet, in the midst of all they do, they make time every day to evangelize to thousands of people around the world.

This weekend, the board members of SQPN will gather together at a retreat center in Atlanta to chart a course for the year ahead.  I hope it’s a course that will include new and exciting ways to spread and excite people about the fullness of our beautiful Catholic faith.  And I know exciting things are in store for Faith & Family during the next few weeks too!  I thank God daily for the path he’s put me on that enables me to intersect with such amazing (and fun) people along my path to Him!

So if you could say a prayer for me today as I fly (and for my husband, who remains behind to keep things running smoothly in my home), I would greatly appreciate it!  Please also pray for our work this weekend, and for the countless souls who might be touched by ALL of those working in the New Evangelization!  I can’t wait to share a few reflections with you next week!
