The Gospel was actually spread by the non acceptance of some. Jesus says, “Keep moving. Go where you are received. Stay awhile, plant some seeds and move on as the Spirit blows…you go.“Peace always, Carol
'Shake Off the Dust'

And if any place will not receive you and they refuse to hear you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet for a testimony against them.” So they went out and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.
—Mark 6:11-13
Jesus, wherever we go, help us to bring others closer to You.

Of course, Mark 6:11-13 still applies today, however in this day and age it seems to me that if in some places we as Christians feel unaccepted, it is because of a lack of understanding in dialogue. Plus, with the new-age mentality of many people, the understanding of God and the Gospel has shifted to a more ‘spiritual-personal-religion’, therefore I am finding out myself that when I try to give the message of my Christian life which includes some ‘preaching of the Gospel’, usually I try to first engage in a peaceful dialogue which I find very effective. Personally I like to put myself in the other person’s shoes, or more precisely ‘mind’. When I discover their trend of thought, it becomes easier to comunicate to them in ways that will be accepted, point by point without stirring up arguments…. of course there are people that like a good controversial argument about Religion… but I can smell that very quicly and I stay away from it ..peacefully…shaking the dust from my sandals..
