Stepping Out

As part of my “journey” to a better life with the 3D Plan, one of my favorite aspects of the program is that it recommends wearing a pedometer and tracking daily step count.
Luckily for me, the great folks at Sportline recently sent over a totally nifty pedometer for review. I’ve had pedometers in the past, starting with one that came in a McDonald’s salad a few years back. But this model, the TraQ Any-Wear Pedometer, is definitively the best one I’ve ever tried.
From the minute it arrived, I couldn’t wait to clip it on and start counting. One of the coolest things about this pedometer is that it can be worn in multiple ways - not just on your belt, which is great if you’re wearing a dress to work, Mass or another occasion and still want to track your steps. Some of the other features of this pedometer include:
* 7-day total workout memory recall
* Set and track personal daily goals
* Accurately tracks steps, running strides, speed, and distance
* Accurately calculates calories burned
* Monitors total time in activity
* Auto-scan and walk/run toggle
* Laser-tuned stopwatch and pacer
* Clock, calendar and daily alarm
With the seven day feature, your pedometer tracks your steps all week and you can easily sit down on Sunday and compare your days’ progress. It’s funny that the simple act of wearing a pedometer prompts me to be more physically active - I park in the far corners of the school lot, savor trips up and down the steps with laundry, and slip in a late evening walk if I’m falling short of my goals.
And now, you have your chance to win one of these cool pedometers! If you would like to be entered for a chance to win, you must 1) have a U.S. shipping address and 2) leave a comment on this post with a valid email address (won’t be published or shared) before Midnight EST on Friday, November 28. I’ll draw a random winner and announce over the weekend.
Get ready to step out in style!
