Summer Plans and Mary Moments

This week, on the Faith & Family Live Cast (click here to listen or click on the player above), we get filled in on Henry’s recovery and Arwen’s family trip to Michigan. With the weather changing and school years drawing to an end, Rachel, Arwen and I share what summer looks like around our homes. How do you keep your children engaged and active during the summer months? Will you be doing summer camps or structured activities this summer, or letting your children enjoy “down time”?
Our Faith & Family Feature Product for this week is the wonderful Homeschool Connections Webinars being offered for teens by our friend Maureen Wittmann and being taught by Catholic college professors. Check out the Homeschool Connections website for details and course offerings.
As “Mary’s Month” draws to an end, we’ve been so fortunate this week to enjoy the guest blogging of Sarah Reinhard. We take turns discussing our own relationships with the Blessed Virgin Mary - how we see her and relate to her in our own ways and what she means to us as mothers. What has been your experience with Mary? Was there ever a time when you felt especially inspired by her example?
As promised during the podcast, here is a little video of my boys playing a few traditional Irish tunes. You can check out the new website they are creating to share their love of the arts at www.youthfolklore.com.
Please join us in praying for the intentions of all of our Faith & Family Live! community members. We’d love your comments on this week’s show, as well as topic suggestions or questions to help us plan future episodes. Please subscribe to the Faith & Family Live Cast and help us spread the word by sharing the show with your family and friends!
