Summertime, and the Sipping's Easy

One day a couple of weeks ago, when I was at my mom’s house on a sultry afternoon, she offered me a Raspberry Lime Ricky.
That sounded good. I said yes. And it was good. Deliciously simple and refreshing, to be exact.
I looked up the recipe later and found this one which looked very similar to the beverage my mother prepared. I also found this recipe made with gin—that looked like it might be fun for a summer party.
I really like to try fun and yummy drink recipes, for company or just for sipping on my deck in the afternoon or evening.
One simple thing I do is prepare an extra cup of coffee in the morning, cool it, chill it, and then use it for iced coffee (maybe with a squirt of chocolate syrup) later in the day. Very good, and lots cheaper than drive-thru varieties.
But.
Speaking of drive-thru summer beverages, I must mention this:
McCafe Mocha Frappe Wow, those things are good.
The other night, I treated some of the kids to frappes after an evening at the lake and they were instant fans too. Have you tried them? Now that I’ve looked at the calorie count, I must resign myself to these being occasional treats, but they certainly are a treat.
How about you? What kinds of refreshing beverages do you concoct, purchase, pour, and sip these long, hot days of summer?
