Thank You, Father!

All around the world this week, Roman Catholic priests are working overtime to help their parishes and communities celebrate the liturgies of Holy Week, the Triduum, and Easter. Undoubtedly, this week is one of the busiest for these hardworking and devoted men who do such much to support our families in faith.
A few weeks ago, reader Therese came up with the following wonderful idea:
“Could Faith and Family sponsor a post or an article to say “Thank you, Father”? Kind of an open forum in honor of the priests who have changed our lives and helped us form our faith. I know there has been so much bad publicity ever since the abuse scandal began, but I think it would be wonderful to publicly thank the priests who really have made a difference. And it would let others know that there are so many priests who are wonderful.”
This is your opportunity to share your appreciation for the special priests who support and nurture you in your spiritual journey. I would like to pay a special tribute to my two favorite pastors - my childhood pastor Msgr. Michael Collins of Seal Beach, California and my current pastor, Msgr. Rob. Both of you have taught me so very much about the gift of our Catholic faith - you are in my prayers continually as you faithfully live out your vocation to the priesthood.
Please share a word of thanks for your favorite priest anonymously or by name. How has he made a difference in your life or inspired you or your children?
We want the world to know how truly special our priests are, so please share your comments, tell friends about this post, and help us celebrate our priests! Please join me in praying for all of our Holy priests this week and for vocations to the priesthood to keep our faith alive and growing.
