Watch What You Say

any words you speak could be your last

Got 20 minutes? Watch this. It starts out as an absolutely charming discussion of how to appreciate classical music, but it’s really about effective evangelization and how we treat people. The closing anecdote is killer.

With a polite nod to The Anchoress for pointing this out.

Wow! What a great little video. Definitely worth watching. I’m going to replay it for my kids later on today—a great speaker with a great message!

Wow.  Thank you so much for this.  This is absolutely amazing.

Wow! I am blown away by the ending—tears of conviction running down my face. I hope I can just live today in the way he proposes.

My favorite line was “Who am I being that my children’s eyes are not shining?” I know when I’m actually fully present with my children, that this is what can happen. The conductor’s job is to give the musicians power—this is like what we moms do, and what we Christians do when we share Christ. Thanks, Rebecca!

That was wonderful! The literal music part works for me too, since I am a classical musician. So much to think about. Thanks. smile

Beautiful, moving and speaks straight to me as a mother at this point in my life when I am allowing so many things to make me anxious and cross when I should be rejoicing in the beautiful children I have with me every day. I pray that I will remember the final story that he told every day of my life.

This is a wonderful piece.  I am glad I watched it.  I will try to treat people they way he suggested.  It will be a challenge though.  Thanks Danielle for linking me to this.

Beautiful presentation/message!

What a delightful presentation and powerful message!

Would that we could make political party activists watch this video!

Very very inspiring. Good videos like this should be televised and publicised more.

This totally made my day! Thanks for posting!

Thanks Sister Patricia, this is a “peace and all good” message!
