What Did You Get Right This Week?

Small Success vol. 23

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my Small Successes for this week:

1. I cleaned out the refrigerator. It was a “forced cleaning” as it has been leaking and we needed to find the source of the problem, but it was a thorough cleaning. So there.

2. I have gotten most of the housework done that I need to before leaving for the CNMC this weekend. Paying the girls to clean the boys’ room worked out beautifully, thankyouverymuch.

3. I finally wrote thank you notes for birthday presents I received at the beginning of the month. I can be pretty awful about getting thank you notes written and mailed in a timely manner. Which is weird because I am truly GRATEFUL to so many people for so many things. I chalk it up to the mental block I seem to have when it comes to snail mail. But that’s no excuse.

Now you share your successes please! I really enjoy reading everyone’s contributions each week. Thanks for playing!

1. We had a wonderful Father’s Day cook-out and a successful, smooth birthday party for my 2-year-old.

2. I got the kids to the park to feed the ducks. We even got to get up close to them!

3. We got their pictures taken! My son is 5 and my daughter is 2. We also did some pics of all three! They came out wonderful!

What great successes! And NONE too small either!
Good for you!

1. I also had a “forced” refrigerator cleaning.
2. I pulled vines and weeds out from around the yard.
3. I returned clean camping gear to its proper home.

Danielle! I’m the same with #3…I’m very good at it when it comes to my kids saying thank you, or when I can EMAIL a thank you from ME, but writing them…I’m terrible, and I have no excuse. I feel terrible.

Maybe I can make up for lack of notes by sending random notes in the mail…thanking people for being the generous people they are DAILY. I hope I can follow this through!

Great list….awesome list. So much done! Great job!

Some things would never get cleaned around here without those “forced cleanings”!

Only one for me today, I have swallowed my pride and admitted I cannot continue to work full time, run my parish’s RCIA group and do all my housework myself, and have hired a cleaner

Like the list. The refrigerator is always a tough one for me! Thanks for hosting!

1- I forced myself to relax this week, even though it was “uncomfortable” for me.
2- I stayed within my budget getting my son ready for his trip.
3-  I only spent $1 more at the Christmas Tree Shoppe than I promised myself!  : )

Hey!  I remembered to do this 2 weeks in a row!  That in itself is a small success smile
