What's Your Dream Job?

Yesterday, I had one of the funnest hours of my life while sitting in as the guest host for Greg and Lisa Popcak on their great Heart, Mind and Strength program on Ave Maria Radio. Greg and Lisa kindly invited me to sub since they are currently in Australia, leading a marriage and family life conference (now that’s a dream job!).
During the hour, I was able to fulfill a lifelong goal of being a talk radio host. I’ve listened to talk radio since Eric was a baby, and have always thought it would be a very fun experience to play host some time. I’m not talking about hosting one of those crazy call in shows where everyone is yelling at each other - I’m talking about a pleasant, uplifting, fun show where everyone walks away feeling even just a little bit better.
Greg and Lisa Popcak, like my friends Greg and Jennifer Willits, are amazing hosts. The interpersonal chemistry and spiritual maturity of both of these couples make their programs not only interesting, but also edifying and fun to enjoy. When you listen to them on the radio, you feel like you’re having coffee with a really great friend. After having spent just one hour behind the mic, I have a whole new level of respect for their level of professionalism! I shared my hour with my great friends Sarah Reinhard and Jeff Young and the time just flew by!
I don’t know if I’ll ever have another opportunity like this one, but I’m so happy to have had the experience of—even just for one day—fulfilling one of my career fantasies. Now I just need to get Matt Maher and Sarah Bauer to let me sing backup on their next tours, film a season of Survivor, and fly a jet and I’ll be all set!
What’s your dream job? What one job would you want to do for just one day if you had the chance? Or is retirement your dream job?
