Work in Progress

Meet author Kristin Armstrong and enter to win her fabulous book on this week's podcast.

Download Podcast

This week, I had the opportunity to have a conversation with Catholic mom and author Kristin Armstrong and today I’m happy to share that chat with you on this week’s podcast (click here to listen or click on the podcast player above).  In her book, Work in Progress: An Unfinished Woman’s Guide to Grace, Kristin gives readers an intimate look into her own personal journey towards being the kind of woman God wants each of us to be.

Left in need of spiritual and emotional healing after her divorce and annulment from Lance Armstrong, Kristin chose to embrace God’s grace and to examine the traits of grace He truly desires to see in each of us, sharing these traits with others through the gift of her writing.  This book blossoms with her unique perspective and personal stories, countless scriptural references, and reflection questions at the completion of each chapter.  To enter for your chance to win a copy of this great book, leave a comment on this post with a valid email address (which won’t be published or shared) before Midnight PST on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.  A winner will be randomly selected and notified by email.

Also on this week’s podcast, Deacon Tom Fox shares a special reflection for the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima and Sarah Reinhard shares the good news about the Mary Moments Carnival being hosted this month.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about my conversation with Kristen Armstrong and don’t forget to enter for your chance to win this book!  Share your feedback at 206-339-9272, comment here on the blog or email lisa@catholicmom.com.

Aloha Lisa,
What a wonderful interview with Kristin Armstrong.  Two of the chapters of the book mentioned touched me personally:  friendship and forgiveness.  In my case, it was a matter of forgiving a very good friend.  I look forward to reading this book.

OOh! Please enter me in the drawing!

This sounds like an excellent book.  I would love to add it to our home library.

There is a need for uplifting words for the Catholic woman who is going through a divorce and annulment.  She is obviously a very strong and spiritual woman, qualities which do not always go together for modern women.

I would love to read this book - will do it either way, but thanks for the chance to enter this contest!

Thank you for the opportunity to win this book for a dear sister of mind that I’m sure would find some words of grace in this book!
