On this week’s episode of the Faith & Family Live Cast (click here to listen or click on the player above), it’s just Danielle and me, but there’s no shortage of mom talk! In our first segment, we reflect back on Lauren Warner’s wonderful post and the topic of “working moms”. These days, every mom is a working mom and we’re all looking for balance and peace in our vocations. We share our challenges, our joys and our opinions on the “mommy wars”. How about you? Do you find difficulty balancing it all? How does your husband support you in your work?
This week, we share two Faith & Family Feature Products: the wonderful rosaries and gifts from Trendy Traditions and The Catholic View for Women. Be sure to check out both for a boost to your vocation as a Catholic Mom.
In our final segment, we hold a mini book club on The Hunger Games, the topic of recent discussion here at the blog. Tune in to hear what Danielle and I have to say about this popular book series for young adults. Have your teens tuned in to the books? On the topic of teens and reading, how closely do you supervise their reading selections? Is it reasonable to pre-screen every book your pre-teens and teens read these days?
We thank our guest caller for recommending a helpful video from The Safe Side to teach children stranger and internet safety.
