Yes, It Does Count

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).
If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.
To get us started, here are my Small Successes for this week:
1. When I found myself engaged in a battle of wills over a cup of strawberry milk with my 2 year old last night at bedtime, I began to think, “I can’t let him win this.” But I managed to pull myself back from the situation long enough to realize ... we all would win if I did give in. And I did. Danny had his strawberry milk and we all had peace at bedtime.
2. I washed, dried, and packed away the snow gear. Now that I’ve dared to admit that, of course, we’ll get a blizzard. Even if we do, though, it won’t matter—the kids would stay inside. We are so totally over the snow thing.
3. I ironed! Two shirts and two pairs of pants, to be exact. Although I’m morally opposed to ironing, with a broken dryer this week, I needed to do it for some of Dan’s work clothes. And it didn’t kill me, either.
Now let’s hear from you ... what did you get right this week?
