2009 Writing Contest

Rules:

Schools must select essays and send only the top five.

Families may submit one essay per child in each age category.

Details:

1.  There will be two age categories:  (a) 3rd - 5th grade (b) 6th - 8th grade

2.  Essays should be 500 words or less.

3.  Please submit typed essays only.

4. Please submit completed application forms with essays.

The essay subject is: Why would you nominate your pastor (or any priest that you know) for Priest of the Year?

In this Year for Priests, celebrate the spiritual “Father” in your life by telling readers what makes him so great.

Prizes for winners of Faith & Family writing contest will be:

1. Cash prize of $250.

2. The winning essays and photos will be published in the Faith & Family March/April 2009 issue along with the name of their school.

3. The winner’s school or family will receive FREE ISSUE of the Summer 2010 Faith & Family magazine with the published essays of the winners.
