‘The Pope and Me’ writing contest!

Rules:
Schools must select essays and send only the top five.
Families may submit one essay per child in each age category.
Details:
1. There will be two age categories: (a) 3rd - 5th grade (b) 6th - 8th grade
2. Essays should be 500 words or less.
3. Please submit typed essays only.
4. Please submit completed application forms with essays.
The essay subject is: What Does the Pope Expect From Young People in America Today?
Write about how you think the Pope wants young people to make a difference in their family, school, or in their community today.
Deadline for essays is: October 15, 2008
Prizes for winners of Faith & Family writing contest will be:
1. Cash prize of $250.
2. The winning essays and photos will be published in the Faith & Family March/April 2009 issue along with the name of their school.
3. The winner’s school or family will receive FREE ISSUES of the March/April 2009 Faith & Family magazine with the published essays of the winners.
